I am excellent at starting projects. Where I could use some work is finishing those projects. I feel like about every six months or so I find a little time to start in on a new multi-touch application. For example here is an application I’m calling “Rock Me Amadeus”. It’s a multi-touch MP3 player built on the Adobe Air platform.

The idea was that you could touch two points and have the music visualization connect your two fingers. Unfortunately the touch events aren’t firing quickly enough for it to be an effective visualization. Maybe after a code update using Adobe’s new touch events
You can import your mp3 catalog from iTunes and all of that jazz. It’s is barely started but I think it needs to be scrapped. I’m not giving up on a solid multi-touch mp3 player I’m just suggesting that I need to take on smaller projects that might at some point accumulate into a larger project.
That being said. My plan is to start in on really small open source multi-touch components that developers can use to build larger applications. I’ll probably start in on that project in about 6 months and scrap that idea around two weeks later. ![]()
