I don’t know for sure but I think there are two different folks that build multi-touch tables/devices. Those that are into hardware and want a fun project, and those that are into programming and want a table to write for. I’m part of the later group and everyone can tell because my table is held together by chewing gum and I’m using an eight year old projector.
I wrote this software for the prior group of multi-touch enthusiasts. You can pick them out of a crowd because there tables look clean and well designed, like something you would want to put in the lobby of your corporate office. I could be wrong but my guess is that this group of folks would be happy as a clam to polish 2 inch fiberglass edges for hours, but don’t really have a strong desire to change and compile code.
MultiTouch Flickr Viewer is just an Adobe Air shell for the ‘Hello World’ photo app. It has the additional feature of a settings panel, so that humans (non-developers) can change the flickr account or make other changes.
